Teen gunman kills three children, adult at Oregon elementary school
A 16-year-old shooter opened fire with a shotgun at Silver River Elementary School in Bend, killing three children and one adult before being shot and killed by a bystander carrying a concealed weapon. Two additional victims, one child and one adult, were hospitalized in critical condition.
More than a dozen tornadoes confirmed from Hurricane Isaias.
Hurricane Isaias, which made landfall in the Florida Panhandle Friday night, also caused dozens of tornado reports from Georgia into the Carolinas last weekend. The National Weather Service (NWS) has been surveying the damage from the tornado reports and, as of Wednesday night, has confirmed 17 tornadoes. Five of those were powerful EF2 tornadoes.
