Post-Rapture Scenario on Earth
Every indicator on the Prophetic Spectrum is at this moment pulsing within the Spiritual Watchers’ ‘end times’ alert system. That system is centered in Christ’s Words as follows.
“And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch” (Mark 13: 37).
And Jesus commanded as to what to watch for in the following:
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28).
Since the signals the Lord gave, as recorded in Matthew 24 and other places, are growing stronger with each news cycle, with the nations in the Middle East, particularly Israel, and those involving Russia and Ukraine portending global war, the Instant of Rapture might happen literally at any moment.
I say this because Jesus, as we’ve looked at many times, prophesied that things will be going along relatively as usual when He breaks again into human affairs (is revealed). As the Scripture puts it in Luke 17:28-30, i.e., there will be no world war or other earth-shattering condition at the time of the Rapture, the Apostle Paul prophesied in 2 Thessalonians 4:16-18.
Because all signals that point to this late hour of the Age of Grace are registering with those who truly Watch, as Jesus commanded, we should forewarn of things as they might happen once all believers leave the planet, as will the Holy Spirit leave in His position as Restrainer of evil (2 Thessalonians 2: 6-7).
So this commentary is to, in scenario fashion of a sort, give some thought to how things are now that show the lateness of the age and what is likely to come next.
I must give thanks here to Keith, a frequent emailer who sent his well-studied thoughts about what is now taking place and will likely transpire from the Rapture of the church forward. Although I would somewhat more temper my own thinking with regard to what that future holds, Keith is pretty well on the mark in his cogitation here, I think. So here is his scenario as he wrote it, with some slight editing.
Israel and America are the MOST HATED NATIONS at the UN. The UN voted heavily against America and Israel. They hate Israel because the Jews are God’s chosen people who are proof of his existence. The world hates God. They also hate America because they think it is a CHRISTIAN NATION, even though America is no longer Christian. America still has a Christian culture, but most are not saved. The world community hates Christ. It is because they hate both branches (Jews and Christians) of God’s chosen people that they hate both Israel and America.
Most of the world’s nations are ruled by Leftists and Socialists. Only a few countries have Conservative leaders. Those are Israel, America, Argentina, and a few other Latin American countries, and a few Eastern European countries (once under Russian dominion in the Cold War (they know the dangers of Socialism). But almost all Western European countries, including Britain, are ruled by Socialists. They really hate Trump and Netanyahu for resisting their Globalist agenda. The main reason why America resists the Globalists is because of the large Christian population that keeps the pressure on Trump to resist the Globalists.
Once God takes America’s Christian population out at the Rapture, the political balance will immediately be flipped. America will suffer the biggest population bite and will probably lose anywhere from 10% to 25% of its population to the Rapture. Some members of Congress, including House Speaker Mike and other Republicans who are saved, will evacuate in the Rapture. Ted Cruz will also evacuate. Both the House and the Senate will lose enough members to flip both the House and the Senate to Democrats. I think Trump (most likely unsaved) will probably be left behind. Since all Democrats in Congress are leftists, they will most all be left behind. That leaves them in control.
Donald Trump probably will face immediate impeachment unless he caves to the Left after the Rapture. There will be immediate martial law after the Rapture. At that time, America’s national debt of 40 trillion will suddenly explode violently. America can’t pay the debt. So the nations of the world will likely INVADE America to SEIZE THE ASSETS from the American people to COLLECT THE DEBT, which we cannot pay.
I think the SUDDEN DESTRUCTION that happens will probably be NUCLEAR WAR immediately following the Rapture –where Russia nukes our big liberal cities which happen to contain the highest concentration of sin (homosexuals, crime, vices, corruption). The world can finally get its revenge on America after the Rapture.
As I say, this is my emailer friend’s scenario, based upon his consistent and ongoing observation of news, and with a good knowledge of eschatology from a Biblical perspective. I can’t say I agree totally –not that I disagree with things he believes that might happen, but somewhat with specific order of things that will occur, etc. For example, his is based upon the Rapture occurring before the Trump Administration is completed. (I won’t say the Rapture will happen within the next 2 years, although I certainly anticipate it could occur before that time.)
When Christ calls all believers from this planet, there is no way any of us can fully imagine the ramifications. Jesus Himself said it will bleed into the worst time of all human history.
“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be” (Matthew 24:21).
The Rapture of all believers from Planet Earth will not be a mere historical incident –if it indeed is scheduled prophetically, as many Christians question or doubt, even those in pastorates around the nation. Be assured by God’s Holy Word, it will happen and be devastating to all left behind, beyond the horrors described above, or even by scenarios presented in my friends Tim Lahaye’s and Jerry Jenkins’ Left Behind novels about that coming time of Judgment and Wrath from Heaven.
As mentioned constantly in my articles and books, every child below the age of accountability will instantaneously be in Christ’s Holy Presence when He makes that Shout: “Come up here!” (Revelation 4: 1). Just try to imagine the panic and agony such an eventuation will cause.
If you are among those left behind on Earth, you will wish with all that is within your terrified mind –when the great disappearance takes place– that you had done the following, which God’s Word Implores you to do before that Rapture Event:
“That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10).

This Is the Season!
A few days ago, an obscure news item caught my attention. It did so because of a prophecy about what will happen after the Rapture, one I have often wondered about.
The article appeared on The Western Journal website with this title: 6 People Killed by Bears in Russia in One Month as Siberian Town Finds Itself ‘Under Siege’. Below is an excerpt from it:
Russia’s Natural Resources Ministry said the country’s brown bear population has more than doubled since 1990, from about 130,000 to nearly 308,000 in 2026.
The ministry said bear attacks nationwide still run about 20 to 30 per year. Local officials and Russian media have described a sharper spike in the Siberian taiga this season.
The Moscow Times, tallying fatal cases, said at least 14 people have been killed in bear attacks across Russia since the start of the year. In Krasnoyarsk, local media said the bodies of two people were found mauled in a forest near the remote town of Podtyosovo earlier this month.
When I read the above paragraphs, I immediately thought of Revelation 6:8:
“And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.” (emphasis added)
Although the number of bear attacks in Russia is not anywhere near apocalyptic levels, it may be a sample of what lies ahead. The verse says that “wild beasts” will contribute to the high death toll once the Day of the Lord begins. It also reveals other factors that will contribute to the deaths of many after our departure.
The Sword
The reference to the “sword” alludes back to the second seal (Revelation 6:3-4) and the wars that will break out on the earth. Yes, there have been deadly wars in the past, and even now, the war between Russia and Ukraine has resulted in half a million deaths on each side, according to some estimates.
However, the worst wars in human history will occur after the Rapture as the Day of the Lord begins (1 Thessalonians 5:1-3). Already, the frequency of the “rumors of wars” that Jesus warned about is off the charts. I run across them almost daily; they have become so common that I believe I am not alone in not taking many of them seriously. Can you imagine the greater impact of such reports after wars have killed a hundred million people or perhaps many more?
Famine
We also read of “famine” in Revelation 6:8. This is also front and center with what’s happening. For months, I have read about the “super El Niño” that’s forming in the Pacific Ocean. Some predict that it will result in the deaths of millions because of the famine it will cause throughout parts of the world. Regardless of whether or not these dire forecasts come to fruition, a tough winter is likely ahead for many people: one that might bring famine for multitudes.
The current diesel fuel shortage is leading many prognosticators to predict food shortages in the coming months. The crisis will increase the cost of harvesting crops and getting food to stores, which will, in turn, raise grocery prices. Could this be the beginning of the dire economic conditions of the third seal (Revelation 6:5-6)? Only time will tell.
Pandemics
This one verse also projects a high death toll due to pestilence or disease. Just like the “rumors of war,” the news media bombards us with dire predictions of another pandemic similar to that of COVID. We already hear warnings that a deadly COVID variant could sweep across the US. I am not saying these alerts are valid; they seem more about causing fear than anything else. But perhaps they signal what the elite power brokers of our day have in mind for the future.
The time depicted in Revelation 6:1-8 is rapidly approaching. What we see today is but a precursor to all that’s coming; it’s God’s way of warning people of what lies ahead. But so few are paying attention.
I believe it’s also His way of confirming Bible prophecy. So many Christians believe that the next event on God’s prophetic calendar is Jesus’ return to the earth to inaugurate the eternal state. But what we see today confirms that in Matthew 24, the Lord was prophesying about a future time of distress on the earth like no other, one that will lead directly to His Second Coming. He commanded us to “watch.” Why would He do so apart from telling us what to “watch” for?
A common response to what we believe about the nearness of the Rapture is this: “No one knows the day or the hour.” I have read or heard it many times. However, watching for His appearing implies that we recognize the signs He gave us. And they shout with the message that we are in the season of His return for us.
Thankfully, we will already be in Heaven with our Savior before He opens the seals, with the tragic results recorded in Revelation 6.
