At least 59 people have died in flooding across the Ivory Coast since the start of the rainy season in mid-May. Days of heavy rain triggered deadly flooding and landslides in Abidjan in Attécoubé, claiming 20 lives. Officials said some residents had returned to high-risk sites after previously being relocated.
