It shore nuff does in most contexts. Now, Bishop is a biblical title, but certainly not for all preachers. Although the Ole Timer is a Ordained Bishop, I ain't never used--in any context--either Bishop or Ordained Bishop to refer to maself.I was there when it was voted in at the GA. An when we all got back home from the assembly, local print shops and door plate and sign companies was doin some high volume business printin new business cards, letterheads, changing church signs, etc. In one week, ordained minister in the COG was a Bishop, an then the title toutin commenced. Hey, I remember fellers (part-time evangelists; pastors of churches with 10-15 folk; etc.) wantin everbody to call em Bishop Billy Bob Brown. Not that a church of 10-15 is any less important than North Cleveland, an not that a part-time evangelist is any less important than fellers on the Ex Committee, but the 10-15 and part-time evangelist ain't how the Bible uses the term Bishop.Seer OTCP
