YnetNews.com reports: “IDF Arabic Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Avichay Adraee said on Sunday that he had been contacted by numerous Lebanese citizens, some identifying as Hezbollah operatives, expressing concerns that the terrorist organization could lead Lebanon to devastation similar to Gaza’s.
Adraee said in an X post that Lebanese users have tried reaching out to Israeli authorities through him in attempts to deescalate tensions amid months of border skirmishes between Israel and the Iranian-backed terrorist group, which increasingly appear to be on the brink of full-scale war.
The military spokesperson clarified that he was not the address for such inquiries and advised them to contact Mossad’s official Facebook page instead.
‘I’m not the right authority to appeal to for such inquiries and I can’t provide direct solutions, but I can direct you to Mossad’s official Facebook page, through which you may find the best way to improve your situation,’ Adraee wrote. ‘I understand your desire for a better prospect for your country, and I wish you a better future and better lives.’
