What Happened? :: By Daymond Duck

On Sept. 9, 2026, the Prophecy News Watch (PNW) staff wrote the following:

  • Israel was promised a peace partner.
  • Now its military is being told to prepare for the possibility of fighting that partner’s armed forces in an all-out war.
  • More than three decades after Oslo, that development deserves far more attention than another diplomatic statement about keeping the peace process alive.
  • Consider what that means.
  • The institution the world has treated as the foundation of a future Palestinian state now figures in Israeli military preparations as a potential source of the very nightmare Israelis vowed never to experience again.
  • The question practically asks itself: What happened to the promise of peace?
  • The Oslo process rested on an enormous gamble: that empowering Palestinian institutions, including armed security forces, would produce a dependable partner and greater security.
  • Israelis were asked to accept tangible risks in exchange for promises about what those institutions would become.
  • Decades later, Katz (Israel’s Defense Minister) is describing a potential campaign against PA officials, security structures, and terrorist infrastructure.
  • His announced response would include evacuations from areas used to launch attacks and an ongoing IDF presence in evacuated territory.
  • This is a devastating challenge to the assumptions behind Oslo.
  • If the institutions built to support peace could become the machinery of an assault, their diplomatic status offers Israeli families no protection.
  • Israel has already buried too many people after assumptions failed.
  • It cannot afford another October 7.

(My comment: Deceitful world leaders are calling for peace, peace, when radical Muslims refuse to live in peace with Israel; see Jer. 6:14.)

(More: On Sept. 9:2026, Joseph Morris (Joseph Morris Ministries) said, “Islam takes the cross down, and calls for Israel’s annihilation. Groups calling for Israel’s annihilation are not very nice.”)

(My comment: A religion that calls for the annihilation of everyone that doesn’t believe the way it believes is not a religion of peace.)

Here are some recent events that seem to indicate that the end of the age is near:

One, there were massive explosions on the ground and large fireballs in the sky over Lebanon when Israel destroyed Hezbollah’s underground infrastructure. The U.S. Geological Survey said the largest explosion registered as a magnitude 4.1 earthquake.

(More: The IDF used over 1,100 tons of explosives to demolish a 5.4 km underground terror complex beneath the strategic Ali al-Taher ridge. Built over two decades with Iranian funding, the network stored dozens of UAVs, rockets, anti-tank missiles, and hundreds of explosive devices.)

Two, on Sept. 10, 2026, Amir Tsarfati posted this:

  • The Iranians don’t stop!
  • Construction continues at Mount Pickaxe, deep inside their newest and most heavily fortified nuclear facility.
  • Their proxies in Yemen are gaining control of a strategic coastal region and moving closer to the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
  • For the millionth time – this regime was not made for pacts, deals, or any form of compromise.
  • This jihadist regime will not stop until it fulfills what it believes is its Allah-given goal: either to dominate the world or plunge it into the chaos necessary for the Mahdi to appear.
  • Someone asked me whether the war with Iran had ended.
  • My answer was clear – it hasn’t even started.
  • Anything short of breaking the neck of this regime will not bring peace to the region. It will only invite the next war.
  • And we all know what the future holds…
  • There will be another war!

Three, on Sept. 20, 2026, it was reported that Israeli Prime Min. Netanyahu said:

  • President Trump announced last night that Iran is trying to rearm itself with nuclear weapons.
  • This is true.
  • After we destroyed its immediate ability to produce nuclear bombs, both in “Operation Rising Lion” and in “Operation Roaring Lion,” they are trying again.
  • I pledge to you here, at the Western Wall, before Rosh Hashanah: As long as I am Prime Minister, Iran will not have nuclear weapons.
  • At the same time, we are striking at the Iranian axis, not only in the Gaza Strip, which is very difficult, but also in Lebanon.
  • We have destroyed the Beaufort Ridge, and now we are dealing with the Ali al-Taher Ridge.
  • More to come.

Four, concerning immorality as in the Days of Lot at the end of the age: on Sept. 8, 2026, Cardinal Raymond Burke compared the sinfulness of the current age to the Biblical times of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Burke warned that there are distinct similarities between the sexual perversion of today and Abraham’s age.

Five, concerning the Holy Spirit drawing the Jews back to the Promised Land at the end of the age: on Sept. 9, 2026, it was reported that:

  • About two decades ago, more Jews lived in Israel than in any other nation on Earth.
  • Now, the World Zionist Organization is saying more than half of the Jews on Earth will be living in the Promised Land five years from now.

(My comment: It is my understanding that the Jews would return in two major waves: 1) Many unbelieving Jews before the Tribulation Period, and 2) Many believing Jews at the end of the Tribulation Period.)

Six, concerning wars and rumors of wars and the effect on oil supplies (and perhaps inflation and famine):

On Sept. 11, 2026, the Times of Israel reported that:

  • Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis seized several strategic Red Sea islands after capturing territory along the coast, sealing their takeover of a vital shipping corridor linking Europe and Asia.
  • The development is likely to deepen the Middle East war’s impact on international commerce months after the strategic Strait of Hormuz was blockaded by Iran, which hailed its Yemeni allies’ advance.
  • After a week-long offensive that has left hundreds dead, the Houthis appeared to be in control of territory along the Yemeni side of the Bab al-Mandab Strait, the southern gateway to the Red Sea and, in turn, the Suez Canal.

On Sept. 11, 2026, Amir Tsarfati said:

  • The Saudi crown prince chose the Mecca Pact over the Abraham Accords, and he now has to suffer the consequences.
  • Right now, Saudi Arabia has turned out to be completely alone.
  • America is not helping. Turkey is not helping. Pakistan is not helping.
  • And now, Saudi Arabia is officially no longer sending oil through its last big pipeline. With the Strait of Hormuz blocked, this was the main way Saudi Arabia could still sell oil.
  • This pipeline was their last major route. It moves oil from the east of the country to the Red Sea port of Yanbu.
  • This means Saudi Arabia’s oil-economy lifeline is completely choked.

On Sept. 12, 2026, Hal Turner said:

  • Saudi Arabia is now on the verge of a devastating collapse, and this will most likely trigger a global famine.
  • The Houthis in Yemen have conquered Mocha, Dhubab, and Hisn Murad; and worse, all the nearby islands in the Red Sea at the Strait of Al-Mandab have been captured too.
  • The entire Yemeni coastline is under their control. They can close the entire Strait of Al-Mandab at will, thereby cutting off all shipping through the Suez Canal.
  • Now the East-West pipeline has been completely destroyed. This means Saudi Arabia can no longer export 90% of their oil. They can’t export their phosphate or urea either: Ammonia. Sulfur. Methanol. Petrochemicals. There’s absolutely no way of exporting any of them. This is going to cut global food production in half.
  • India, Brazil, Europe, America, Pakistan, and several countries will most likely end up facing severe food shortages. No fertilizer means far lower crop yields.
  • The Strait of Hormuz remains shut down as well.
  • Iran is already boasting about what it can now do.
  • Saudi’s leaders made multiple requests to Trump to bomb Yemen. Trump rejected all of them. Saudi is now in talks with Pakistan to join forces and bomb several key infrastructure sites in Yemen. But Pakistan said the new Mecca Defense Compact “does not apply to pre-existing conditions.” So, it looks like no help there.
  • Saudi’s economy is in total shambles. They are desperately trying to secure a $72 billion loan from the World Bank now.
  • Thousands of Saudi forces have started surrendering to Yemen too.
  • Multiple energy sites in Abha, Najran, Jazan, and Khamis Mushayt have been completely destroyed.
  • Saudi Aramco is selling stakes in pipelines, sulfur facilities, and terminals to pay dividends. That’s why Saudi is becoming increasingly desperate for a large-scale attack on Yemen to stop the Houthis.
  • If Saudi Arabia collapses, millions of families around the world will starve. This is turning into a humanitarian apocalypse.

(Update: On Sept. 13, 2026, it was reported that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has appealed to countries across the Middle East, and indirectly to Israel, for assistance in the fight against the Houthis, as Saudi-backed forces appear to be suffering major setbacks. According to diplomatic officials in the region, the requests were made directly to other Gulf states and Egypt. Israel was approached indirectly through US Central Command, or CENTCOM, with a request for intelligence and other assistance that could help prevent the Houthis from blocking the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.)

(More: On Sept. 14, 2026, the 1440 Daily Digest reported that average diesel prices in the US surpassed $6 per gallon on Sept. 11, 2026 for the first time ever, climbing to $6.20. Commercial trucks, farm equipment, fishing boats, and trains that produce and transport consumer goods run on diesel, tying higher fuel costs to everyday expenses.

Since the Iran war began on Feb. 28, diesel prices have risen roughly 60%. The cost is increasing faster than regular gas prices—up about 45% over the same period. Diesel has averaged higher prices than regular gas over the last two decades because of increased federal taxes, heightened refining requirements, and strong global demand for transportation. Individual consumers may feel the diesel price hikes at the gas pump and the grocery store, as fuel accounts for approximately 15%-30% of the total cost of food.)

Seven, concerning wars and rumors of wars, and specifically the U.S.-Iran war: on Sept. 15, 2026, Vice-Pres. J.D. Vance said,

  • The U.S.-Iran conflict will enter a much different phase within months.
  • There are really two phases to this thing, and the first phase is done.
  • The first phase was destroy the nuclear program, destroy their conventional military, destroy their ability to project power in a way that they were able to even a couple of years ago.
  • The second phase is to ensure that they’re not able to rebuild and try to maintain as much global stability in the wake of that.

(My comment: I don’t understand how he can honestly say Iran’s nuclear program and conventional military have been destroyed. It seems to me like he is declaring victory before the war is over. Iran must still attack Israel in the Battle of Gog and Magog.)

Here are some day-to-day reports on what is happening in the U.S.-Iran war:

Thurs. 194 days after Operation Roaring Lion/ Epic Fury (Sept. 10, 2026) (Day 142 of Trump’s latest ceasefire extension) (101 days from the day Pres. Trump said he will declare total victory over Iran) (The war is now 1,069 days old)

  • Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has threatened to respond to any Iranian attack on Israel by striking Iran’s key energy facilities. Until now, Israel has refrained from doing so because of an American veto.
  • Several stealth bombers flew to the Pacific when Operation Midnight Hammer took place, and they appear to be headed to the Pacific again.
  • Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called US President Trump twice on Thursday and urged him to launch strikes against the Houthis, Axios reported, citing two US officials. Trump rejected the request.
  • Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed that Israel may join a broader campaign against the Iranian-backed Houthi terror group in Yemen.
  • According to the report, Israel would be joining a larger regional effort to combat the threat to shipping routes in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Fri. 195 days after Operation Roaring Lion/ Epic Fury (Sept. 11, 2026) (Day 143 of Trump’s latest ceasefire extension) (102 days from the day Pres. Trump said he will declare total victory over Iran) (The war is now 1,070 days old)

  • Iran and some Gulf states are formally meeting in order to push and finalize an Iran-Oman-backed deal and framework for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, coming at the end of a week where multiple tankers have been attacked, including unprecedented US strikes on an Iranian civilian vessel.
  • The United States, Israel and the NATO military alliance marked the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, remembering nearly 3,000 people killed that day and thousands more who later died from related illnesses (at the hands of radical Muslims).

Sat. 196 days after Operation Roaring Lion/ Epic Fury (Sept. 12, 2026) (Day 144 of Trump’s latest ceasefire extension) (103 days from the day Pres. Trump said he will declare total victory over Iran) (The war is now 1,071 days old)

  • An Iranian official said, “If the American side does not accept all of Iran’s conditions, dialogue and negotiation are of no use.”
  • Other Officials have previously remarked that “Trump must honor the agreement he signed. The demands remain unchanged: $300 billion in compensation, complete lifting of all U.S. sanctions, release of $100 billion in frozen assets, an end to the naval blockade, U.S. troop withdrawal from the entire region, and a comprehensive regional ceasefire including Lebanon and Gaza.

Sun. 197 days after Operation Roaring Lion/ Epic Fury (Sept. 13, 2026) (Day 145 of Trump’s latest ceasefire extension) (104 days from the day Pres. Trump said he will declare total victory over Iran) (The war is now 1,072 days old)

  • Pres. Trump floated the idea that the U.S. could “stay and keep the oil” in Iran, comparing the notion to the oil deal with Venezuela. He said, “We’ll ultimately get out unless we decide to stay and keep the oil, like Venezuela.”

Mon. 198 days after Operation Roaring Lion/ Epic Fury (Sept. 14, 2026) (Day 146 of Trump’s latest ceasefire extension) (105 days from the day Pres. Trump said he will declare total victory over Iran) (The war is now 1,073 days old)

  • Pentagon Inspector General report mandated by the US Congress said that Iranian strikes against the US during the ongoing war damaged and destroyed hundreds of buildings and structures at US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, and Jordan. The report reveals that, simply totaling up munitions and equipment losses, the US has lost over $33.4 billion from the war, numbers which US President Donald Trump and US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth have tried to deny or keep under wraps for months.

Tue. 199 days after Operation Roaring Lion/ Epic Fury (Sept. 15, 2026) (Day 147 of Trump’s latest ceasefire extension) (106 days from the day Pres. Trump said he will declare total victory over Iran) (The war is now 1,074 days old)

  • Iran holds over nine tons of nuclear material  outside of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) safeguards, accused Israel Atomic Energy Commission Director-General Moshe Edri at the agency’s 70th general conference on Tuesday. He added that the material includes 440 kilograms of enriched uranium, equivalent to more than 10 nuclear devices.
  • Saudi Arabia canceled oil shipments to Europe following the Houthi attacks. October shipments are also expected to be canceled.
  • Two major Midwest oil refineries are currently offline, impacting fuel supply chains and triggering immediate price spikes at the pump. The refineries could be offline for as long as one week.
  • Saudi Air Defense intercepted and destroyed a drone that entered Mecca’s airspace. The Saudi-led military coalition in Yemen says the attempt to target Mecca with a drone will remain a black mark in the record of Houthi violations and that the security of the holy sites in Mecca and Medina is a red line.
  • Israel has reportedly begun supplying Saudi Arabia with intelligence on Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi movement, with the United States serving as an intermediary between the two nations. (My comment: Israel is helping Saudi Arabia, and the Bible teaches that Saudi Arabia will not join Russia and her Islamic allies when they attack Israel in the Battle of Gog of Magog.)
  • The Trump administration is preparing a $2.8 billion munitions sale to Israel that would include 40,000 2,000-pound bombs.

Finally, are you Rapture Ready?

If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God, who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and rose from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
