Israel’s Danger Zone

Almost inconceivably, Jared Kushner last week sat with Hamas devils in Egypt, “negotiating.” As Benjamin Netanyahu rightly pointed out directly to the President’s son-in-law, that was giving legitimacy to the demons that raped and murdered Israelis on Oct. 7.

Disgusting.

Every day, the madness continues. The hardest part to wrap one’s mind around is that this isn’t the Obama or Biden regimes doing this. It is that of Donald Trump. If a “conservative” Republican group can’t maintain loyalty to our best ally, who will? Almost all the President’s advisors are hapless. Iran is somehow winning public approval. Hezbollah rebuilds. Turkey emerges as more of a threat. (Although days ago, Israeli jets hit targets in Syria, no doubt rattling the menacing Erdogan.)

Israel continues to have to navigate dangerous waters full of both overt enemies and “friends.” If it isn’t the meddling, incompetent Kushner & Friends, it’s Middle East enemies. Including and especially politicians.

On August 15, a Hezbollah explosive UAV struck an IDF force operating on the Ali al-Taher Ridge in the security zone in south Lebanon, wounding an officer and two soldiers. The IDF reported the attack was a violation of the ceasefire agreement and responded with a wave of attacks on Hezbollah targets, including in areas north of the Litani River. In a strike in the Ansar area, Ali Samir al-Hajj Hassan, a battalion commander in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Unit and other operatives who were involved in advancing terrorist attack plans against IDF forces were eliminated. The IDF confirmed that members of Hassan’s family were also hit in the attack. They were not targets but had been used as human shields.

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam condemned the IDF attacks, claiming they were undermining efforts to stabilize the south.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun reiterated his commitment to negotiations with Israel, which he said were making progress and were preferable to continued war. But these two leaders are at best butting heads. And none of them have the courage to really defy Hezbollah.

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam condemned the continued Israeli incursions and land-clearing and demolition efforts by the IDF.

A Hezbollah explosive UAV struck an IDF force operating in the Ali al-Taher Ridge area, wounding three IDF soldiers. In response the IDF attacked Hezbollah targets, including north of the Litani River. Israel has also made it clear it will not tolerate a Turkish presence. For some time, the devil Erdogan has tried to push a presence in Syria. Given that Donald Trump helped install new Syrian “President” Ahmed al-Sharaa last year, and his own troops chant death to Israel.

I recently watched an interview with the peerless Victor Davis Hanson, and he made a compelling case that our action in Iran isn’t the weak response it now appears to be, however, on the surface, America’s disrespect publicly to Israel is a problem.

Kushner and Steve Witkoff are disasters. Literally, my county judge here in the Ozarks would be vastly better negotiating with Hamas. Because he wouldn’t.

Amid all this, Benjamin Netanyahu is forced to fight for his political career by mediocre and talentless media and rivals. In a sane world, Yair Lapid would not be allowed to run for office. What a clown. Netanyahu at 120 would be better than those that threaten his reign in Israel. Overall since 1996, he is responsible for the blocking of a “Palestinian” state. Israel is safer—right now—than she would be if someone else were running things from Tel Aviv.

Israel is in the danger zone, but only humanly speaking. In her divine destiny, the Jewish state is safe and for all time.

Praise the Lord.
