CAUTION, this article may offend most nominal Christians – but it is imperative to inform my readers that the rapture of the church and the following Great Tribulation lie in our immediate future.
As it is (and I think you’ll agree), we are living in the perilous times the Bible speaks of, with people at their wit’s end trying to figure out what in the world is going on – never thinking of calling out to God or reading their Bibles to find out why humanity is in extreme distress. In fact, there are those who don’t believe in God at all. Incredibly, some of these people are vying for cushy jobs in government, people who are outright criminals and certified nut jobs, people who should be in mental institutions or prison (but certainly not in Government). This, while confusion and despair reign among the young.
Despite having full instructions from God in the Bible on how to live our lives, we humans almost always choose to go it alone in life, relying on our own inclinations and desires. Life would be so much easier to do things God’s way rather than leaning on our own understanding.
Jesus is the fountain of truth; we can go there and drink deeply of His living water. A prime example of this is the admonition that whatever we do, we should do in moderation. Maybe then we wouldn’t be too gluttonous or hungover to live a vigorous and exciting life. The same goes for sex, which is something we can become consumed by, since the urge to merge is the greatest and most powerful urge in the world. Thus, by following the Bible’s admonitions and instructions, we can avoid everyday pitfalls. However, we always seem to follow the path of least resistance – don’t we? It’s normal to do so.
There are many perversities in the world that reside in the incredible mind of man, the little but big universe of the brain. (The mind and brain are two different things, but for the sake of brevity, I won’t expand on this subject in this short article.) In my book review, I will go into detail about how and why human thought is almost always faulty. In the storehouse of human logic, the trash of human thought resides – a festering pile upon pile of stupid human thought; presuppositions and faulty assumptions rule the day. Many expositors of these manmade thoughts and ideas are dead wrong about the things of God simply because they’ve not read the Bible.
If a person were to wipe the slate clean of human thought and replace it with Godly prerogatives, we would see that God’s ways of living life are much better than trying to live life on our own without instruction from Him. The best example of this is to love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength – and your neighbor as yourself. Still, we continue to war against one another, to lie, steal, and cheat one another, and to want their “Stuff.” Then, on our inevitable deathbeds, saying, “What a waste of time” while holding tightly to a fistful of dollars.
Life is short, and we should make the best of it and die with a clear conscience toward our Creator, expecting Him to welcome us home with open arms and a smile on his face. Better we had done what he asked from the beginning.
While it’s fun to live an exciting life apart from God, it is detrimental to good mental and physical health, to say nothing of the eternal spiritual impact on your very life. Human life is never-ending, as we go on through eternity, so make the right decisions based on the Bible – beginning today.
Book report:
NO GOD BUT ONE is a book written by a former Muslim named Nabeel Qureshi. This man also previously wrote a book SEEKING ALLAH, FINDING JESUS. Sounds good, right? Not so fast. This highly educated Muslim man, who, while studying to be a medical doctor, changed course and became an evangelist for Christ, targeting Muslims and going to great lengths to debate other Muslims, often using New Testament scripture in doing so. However, I find holes in his assessments and his stubborn refusal to call Islam what it is – a dangerous and satanic cult.
Like others in our Christian culture, he holds onto the outrageous writing of the Quran, a cultish, ruthless, reckless murderous cult if ever there was one. This young idealistic man claims to have memorized the Quran by age five (which is very questionable in and of itself). Albeit, he is certainly a scholar with a wide-ranging vocabulary. This he tries to show off at every turn – using words we very seldom hear and that are only used when men of higher learning try their best to dazzle other so-called “learned men” – or to obscure the facts.
Years ago, I read a book detailing the origins of Islam, and after many years, have concluded that it is a cult like any other. Cults are made up of idealistic men who want you to know how intelligent and deep they are, such as Jehovah’s Witnesses with their so-called New World Translation. Then there are the Mormons AKA Latter Day Saints (saints, my foot), which has pedophile leaders who take girls as young as twelve for wives. (The leader Warren Jeffs languishes in prison today with a life sentence, and some say – rules the Mormon church from there.)
Likewise, the cult of Catholicism is for people too lazy to crack open the scriptures and rely on mere mortal men to instruct and absolve them from their sins. Have Muslims and these others never read that there is one mediator between God and man – Christ Jesus? Apparently not.
Muslims, like Christians, hope to one day bring the rest of the world into their theology and to what they consider truth. Speaking of truth, Mohammed is called a “sinless one” in the Muslim world. But the Bible says, “There is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10), and “All we like sheep have gone astray… and the Lord has laid on him [Jesus] the iniquity of us all” (Isaiah 53:6).
Enough said. According to Islam’s Hadith, Mohammad was instead an orphan who had Epileptic fits, which his first and much older wife referred to as visions and messages. She convinced him that these were signs from Allah (The moon god?) to promote a new religious movement designed to usurp the Jewish and Christian faith. (Allah is not the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, nor of Moses.)
This he did for the tribal merchants that crisscrossed the trade routes at the time. His travels were confined to the Arabian Peninsula, with his journeys focused on established trade routes connecting key regions within Arabia, during which he eventually became a ruthless killer and torturer of what Muslims refer to as infidels – usually us Christians and Jews – from which he learned and fashioned into Islam. That fact is still with us today as we fight the Iranian regime, which has sleeper cells in our country.
Muslims are taking over seats in the US government, even as we speak. All of them are in the Democrat Party.
So do yourself a favor – find a real Bible (I suggest the King James or New King James), read it prayerfully, and prepare for the worst. The Apostle Paul said, “All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that, too, God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained” (Philippians 3:15-16).
