I have included a Special message at the end of this article. I hope you will read it and take it to heart as the ancient prophecies of God rapidly unfold in this world.
At first glance, this commentary might appear to be political. It’s not.
The plumbline of all world events and the harbinger of their consequences is, and always has been, God’s people and His promises to them. That includes both His promises of blessing and those of judgment when they are disobedient.
According to God’s Word, it is a certainty that Israel and the Jews will face the world alone at the end of days. We can see this condition setting up rapidly every day now.
According to that same Word, in the final judgement, there will be sheep (those who have been a blessing to God’s people), and there will be goats (those who have been a curse to God’s people), and they will experience two very different destinies.
Due to God’s unchanging Nature, I believe that the same standard will be applied to nations (kingdoms, countries), as it will be to individuals (Matthew 25:31-46).
God’s Word also reveals how He views the world’s attitude toward His people based on this often quoted but (in my opinion) also often misinterpreted verse from Genesis.
“I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 12:3).
I don’t believe Genesis 12:3 somehow prohibits any criticism (if it is fair) of Jews, the Israeli government, or their leadership, as though they can do no wrong. They can, and they have; however, I believe the curse of which God speaks does not excuse those who hate Israel and the Jews just because they are Israel and the Jews.
The world’s denial of this Biblical declaration – and the modern-day attempt to separate the current State of Israel from the “Old Testament Jews” by the unfounded claim that God’s declaration no longer applies to them – is a dangerous denial of the Sovereignty of God and of His Word (See Jeremiah 31:31-37).
It is essentially calling God a liar.
The insistence on holding Israel to some sort of standard that the rest of the world is not held to is the height of arrogance, and it has morphed into a selective and vicious hatred.
Absolutely nothing has changed about Genesis 12:3 or any other verse in God’s Word as He has made clear:
“The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8).
The world thinks it has a simple solution for that Truth when reminded of it…they deny that God is able to establish and publish, in written form – the Holy Spirit-breathed Scriptures.
They elect not to believe Him and even deny Him, but He has already addressed that:
“For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12). Emphasis added.
The State of Israel has been continuously attacked (verbally and militarily). It is still, and will continue to be, Israel because the Word of God declares it to be so.
The curse referred to in Genesis 12:3 is, I believe, the consequence that God warns of to those who chose to be a curse to the Jews through words and/or deeds that threaten their right to life, basic human dignity, and self-defense.
Recent news reports, if they can be believed (there is ample proof today that we should be cautiously skeptical), might indicate a change of attitude toward Israel on the part of the U.S. Government. If this is true, it is extremely unwise and hazardous to this nation’s continued health.
The following are three recent examples that prompted this commentary. And my comments are made with the acknowledgment of two things:
- It assumes that the reports are accurate (not AI-generated bile or outright lies).
- It acknowledges that only VP Vance and God truly know his motives for saying what he has said.

“The Israelis, just like everybody else, have to respect this peace process that is fundamentally good for them and good for the entire region,” Vance said.
My thoughts: Israel was not a part of the negotiations and has made it plain that they will not tolerate attacks from Lebanese territory by Hezbollah. The government of Lebanon is obviously not willing or able to stop the proxy attacks on Israel, and there is no reason to believe they will actually cease based on the fact that Iran and Islam are involved, and history (actual history) bears that out.
Hezbollah attacks from Lebanon; thus, Israel must deal with them in Lebanon.
If Israel was not invited to participate in a process so critical to their own survival, why should they be asked to “respect” it? Despite numerous “peace” declarations in the past, they have been assaulted by Islamist nations numerous times since May 15, 1948. This fact and the Word of God make it clear that they cannot trust any human “peace process.”
God warns of misplaced trust:
“Put no more trust in man, who has only the breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?” (Isaiah 2:22)
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/06/watch-mic-drop-press-briefing-vance-goes-israeli/
“If I was in the cabinet of the Israeli government, I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have anywhere left in the entire world.”
My thoughts: This seems like a strong, thinly veiled threat, and I expect the Israelis are paying close attention to that inference.
We can be sure that God is aware of the truth, the motive, and the real meaning.
Addressing critics of the agreement, Vance said, “I guess my response to them would be: What is your exact proposal? You’re a country of nine million people. You can’t just kill your way out of solving every single national security problem that you have.”
My thoughts: How can you ask for an “exact proposal” from the Israelis when you have made them to be “persona non grata” as far as this process is concerned?
While I am saddened to say it, and wish it were otherwise, in the past, Israel has indeed had to “kill their way out of it” because the blind hatred of their enemies has forced them to acknowledge and deal with the reality of their own Scriptures:
“See how Your enemies rage, how Your foes have reared their heads. With cunning they scheme against Your people and conspire against those You cherish, saying, ‘Come, let us erase them as a nation; may the name of Israel be remembered no more’” (Psalm 83:2-4). Emphasis added.
Nothing has changed in the last 3000+/- years.
NOTE: When the prophecy of Ezekiel 38/39 is fulfilled, God will “kill their way out of it” for them by His direct intervention and by His own authority. He will keep His Word, and He will not use “diplomacy,” negotiations, contracts or treaties.
I support the “peacemakers,” but I believe that their efforts are subject to the reality of God’s Word, and I believe Jesus declared it in that context as well.
“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9).
Given these recent reports and the possible implications of them, I find myself pondering these questions:
- Could this, in part, explain why America is not mentioned in Bible prophecy?
- Will America continue to be a blessing to Israel, or a curse?
It all remains to be seen. In the meantime, for the True Church, we should start each day with Proverbs 3:5-6 as our strength and continue to pray without ceasing.
God has made clear what action He will take at the end of the age against any nations who actively come against Jerusalem:
“So on that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem” (Zechariah 12:9). Emphasis added.
We can’t know for certain. Only God knows the motives of men and governments and raises up and takes down nations and leaders according to His knowledge and by His own authority.
What we can know is that, according to God’s own Word, human hubris and rebellion will fail and lead to judgment, but in His Mercy, He offers Salvation through Jesus Christ to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. That part of His Word has also not changed:
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
The special message I promised you:
For anyone who may read this article and has not trusted in Jesus Christ and therefore has no real hope or peace in your life.
You can have hope. You can have the peace that Jesus has promised to all who have made Him their Lord and Savior. The peace that passes understanding.
It requires that you come before God on His terms and that you do so in your living years.
And, what are His terms according to His Word?
- Genuine repentance (turning to God instead of continuing to reject or ignore Him).
- Confession of sins (that you are a sinner and acknowledge that to God).
- That you understand that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
- To acknowledge to God that you are unable to pay that debt.
- Belief that Jesus Christ paid your death sentence for you on the cross and rose from the grave three days later, conquering death, just as He promised.
- To believe that Jesus is the Way, the only Way, that God has established by which humans may be saved from the consequences of their sin and rebellion.
This is what leads one to the Spiritual Rebirth that Jesus requires (John 3.3).
God has made it absolutely clear that there is no one who comes before Him, under His terms, that will be refused.
- No one: no race, no color, no country of origin, regardless of any previous belief system: no one.
- No matter what your past sins have been, God can and WILL forgive you because He says He will.
- Salvation is available to everyone without any exceptions.
If you put all your trust for salvation in Jesus, and Him only, you can follow that prayer up by simply saying, “Thank you, Father God, for hearing my prayer and saving me,” because we can trust Him to keep His Word. He always has. He always will.
“Truly, Truly, I say to you that he who hears My words and believes the One who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned. He has crossed from death to life” (John 5:24).
There are no answers and there is no hope in the world by governments, organizations, politics or politicians. They are incapable of it. There are only lies and deception. But you can have the Truth and the peace you seek.
The answers are in the Word of God—The Bible. If you ask God, with all your heart, He will hear you.
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).
