Word came this week that the U.S. is trying to find a legal path to sell F-35s to…Turkey.
Turkey?? Turkey.
The same country helmed by a madman jihadist, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. As part of the New Reality, even President Trump has praised Erdogan: “I like him, he is my friend and he stayed out of the war with Iran.” He also added that Erdogan is “not a big fan of Israel.”
What’s going on here?
Erdogan has made genocidal statements about Israel, just as thug dictators before him, like Egypt’s Nasser. Erdogan is a straight-up jihadists—in a suit—and he wants Israel dead.
Either Trump has supreme belief in his own negotiating skills, or he is horribly naïve. Who knows? He could be both at the same time.
Also not surprisingly, J.D. Vance is active in looking at ways to more lethally arm Turkey.
As reported by Reuters:
“WASHINGTON, June 24 (Reuters) – U.S. Vice President JD Vance indicated on Wednesday that a review was under way to see how the United States could sell Turkey F-35 fighter jets given Ankara’s 2019 acquisition of Russian S-400 missile defense systems.
“’Pete [Secretary of War Hegseth] and the entire team are reviewing this right now, because there are certain things that we have to certify have happened … in order to comply with American law. The president has asked us to do that,’ Vance told reporters.”
Vance—along with Trump—have made odious, nasty statements about Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel in recent weeks. Look it up. While many of us saw Trump as a critical piece for America’s resurgence and as Israel’s great friend, very recent statements are simply sinister. They portray Netanyahu as an obstacle to peace and both have sought to humiliate him in public.
They are no friends of Israel. Vance never was. As a Catholic, he has zero understanding of biblical worldview, especially in this area.
Why pull up on Iran seconds from victory? Why gush over the killer Erdogan in public? It doesn’t make sense on the surface.
What I think is that Trump has a fatal love for his own business skills. In other words, he’s never wrong. Vance is another thing: an anti-Semite that buddies around with the likes of Jew-haters Tucker Carlson. Also, in order to promote his own new book, he chums with leftists like The View panelists and Megyn Kelly. The latter, just another shameless self-promoter, forms her worldview by the direction of the wind. Now that Jew-hatred is out in the open and popular, they are emboldened.
For many years, Israel has had enemies in the West. Clinton and Obama diplomats. Thomas Friedman of The New York Times. Anthony Lewis at The Washington Post. The list is very long.
Now we must add “conservative” sources. Shocking and painful and grotesque.
Why would an allegedly conservative, Republican White House openly help Israel’s enemies? We’ve discussed secular, human reasons. But the thing back of it is evil itself. Satan has hated Israel since the book of Genesis. This explains the otherwise baffling move toward Islam and terrorism.
Whatever good the administration is doing is negated by its dalliance with Islam. Dancing with Erdogan while sidelining Bibi is vomit-inducing. We know now for sure we cannot rely on a political person or entity. Apart from God, we are on our own. But as Job learned, we can trust Him even in lethal times.
