On May 19, 2026, Harbingers Daily posted an article by Dr. Mark Hitchcock, and Worthy News posted an article by Emmitt Barry that tends to confirm what the two prophecy teachers believe.
Hitchcock’s article is titled “Invisible Battle Raging Behind the Iran War.”
And Barry’s article is titled “Khamenei Invokes Jihad Rhetoric Against U.S., Israel as Iran Internet Blackout Deepens.”
Here is just some of what Hitchcock said:
- What we can see on the surface today in Iran is bad enough, but behind the physical war, the Bible tells us that there is a spiritual war raging in the Middle East, with Iran at the center of the enemy’s strategy to oppose Israel and create chaos in the region.
- Iran is Satan’s sinister agent to try to destroy God’s covenant people and drive them from their land.
- The book of Daniel tells us about demonic spiritual warfare 2,500 years ago, involving a high-ranking demon called the Prince of “Persia”—the ancient name for modern-day Iran.
- After all, if there was a demonic Prince of Persia in 530 BC, we could be sure that the same territorial demon is behind what’s happening there today.
- This demonic force in Iran is stimulating and stirring their strategy and stubbornness, inspiring their ideology, aggravating their antisemitism, and activating their anger.
- The real battle we see today is not what we see with our eyes.
- There is an invisible battle raging behind the thin facade of this world.

- Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei used a series of posts on X to describe Tehran’s war with the U.S. and Israel in terms one counterterrorism analyst called “jihad — sacred religious war.”
- Omar Mohammed, a counterterrorism analyst with the Program on Extremism at George Washington University, told Fox News Digital that Khamenei’s words were more than political talk.
- Mohammed said, “Strip the euphemism away, and what Khamenei is invoking here is jihad — sacred religious war.”
- Mohammed added, “By framing the war with America and Israel this way, Khamenei is not describing a geopolitical conflict. He is declaring a holy war and casting it as a religious duty.”
- For Israel and the United States, Khamenei’s remarks will likely deepen concerns that Iran’s war is driven not only by military aims, but by the Islamic Republic’s long-standing ideology that casts America as the “Great Satan” and Israel as the “Little Satan” — enemies to be confronted, not merely negotiated with.
Here is my comment on the two articles that were posted on different websites on the same day:
- An invisible spiritual war is raging in the Middle East that is demonic in nature, and it will trigger a devastating response from the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (His name is Jehovah).

One, on May 22, 2026, Brandon Holthaus (lead Pastor of Rock Harbor Church in Bakersfield, California) posted the following message on Harbinger’s Daily:
- Many believers feel that something dark is growing stronger around the world.
- The rise in confusion, deception, spiritual oppression, interest in the occult, mental struggles, violence, moral decline, and turning away from faith is not just a social or political issue.
- The Bible teaches that an unseen spiritual battle is happening behind the scenes, and it eventually shows up in our culture and actions.
- False teachings are dangerous.
- The Bible says that deceiving spirits are behind false beliefs.
- Satan knows that if he can change what people believe about God, he can also change their morals, worship, identity, actions, and even whole societies.
- In history, every rebellion against God has followed the same pattern: first doubting God’s Word, then denying it, then twisting it, and finally falling into full deception.
- Satan’s first recorded words in Scripture reveal this exact pattern of theological corruption: “Has God indeed said…?” “You will not surely die…” “For God knows…” “Your eyes will be opened…” “You will be like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:1-5).
- The enemy’s plan has always been to attack the truth and lead people away from it.
(My opinion: This is the invisible war that Hitchcock and Barry wrote about. Satan’s demonic attacks are not limited to Iran. He is attacking every nation on Earth.)

Thurs. Day 83 (May 21, 2026) (Day 30 of Trump’s latest ceasefire extension)
- A Pentagon spokesman said damage caused by the United States and Israel to Iran’s military industrial bases has set the country’s ability to rebuild its combat infrastructure back months.
- Iran’s Supreme Leader has issued a directive that the country’s near-weapons-grade uranium should not be sent abroad. Israeli officials have told Reuters that Trump has assured Israel that Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium, needed to make an atomic weapon, will be sent out of Iran and that any peace deal must include a clause on this. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he will not consider the war over until enriched uranium is removed from Iran, Tehran ends its support for proxy militias, and its ballistic missile capabilities are eliminated.
- An Iranian source close to the negotiating team says claims of a “final draft” US-Iran agreement are false; the talks are in “permanent deadlock” due to the US insistence on nuclear negotiations.
- Iran’s parliament is advancing legislation to offer a €50 million ($58.13 million) government reward for the assassination of Pres. Trump. They are also advancing legislation to reward the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the commander of US Central Command.
Fri. Day 84 (May 22, 2026) (Day 31 of Trump’s latest ceasefire extension)

Sat. Day 85 (May 23, 2026) (Day 32 of Trump’s latest ceasefire extension)
- Trump said he would be meeting with his negotiators later in the day to discuss Iran’s latest offer, and would likely decide by Sunday whether to resume the war.
- At about 1:00 PM, Vice Pres. JD Vance was summoned to the White House.
At that same hour, Pres. Trump was to commence a Conference Call with Leaders of Persian Gulf/Middle Eastern nations, all of it having to do with Iran.
- Iran said it fully rejects the Pakistani Army Chief’s claims of a “final understanding” toward an agreement and a “60-day ceasefire extension.” He said Iran will not compromise on the rights of the nation in any maximalist US agreement, with the US not being an honest party. The entire Pakistani delegation and Army Chief have left Iran without any agreement, as the IRGC says it is now ready for a “decisive confrontation” with the US this weekend.
Sun. Day 86 (May 24, 2026) (Day 33 of Trump’s latest ceasefire extension)
- S. Sec. of State Marco Rubio said an agreement between the U.S. and Iran could be hours away.
- The United Arab Emirates has completed about half of a new crude oil pipeline designed to bypass the Strait of Hormuz, with the project being accelerated toward a planned 2027 launch.
- Hal Turner reported that negotiations over the memorandum of understanding between the U.S. and Iran have stalled on two unresolved points. The first is money. Iran wants the bulk of its frozen assets released up front, before any formal nuclear talks begin. The second is Iran is demanding an absolute ceasefire in Lebanon as a condition of any deal. The U.S. and Israel want to preserve Israeli freedom of action against Southern Lebanon despite a deal. Turner said the White House is now backing away from yesterday’s “largely negotiated” claim, conceding the deal “could still fall apart,” per senior US officials. Trump himself walked back urgency on Truth Social from yesterday’s “deal coming shortly” to now stating “time is on our side” and saying the blockade “will remain in full force,” which Iran also says needs to be lifted in order to sign any agreement.
- UAE officials said a drone strike on its nuclear power plant originated from Iraq and accused Iran-backed militias of carrying out what they described as a “terrorist” attack on critical civilian infrastructure. Experts say Iran-backed Iraqi militias are playing an increasingly central role in Tehran’s confrontation with the U.S. and Israel.
- Israeli Prime Min. Netanyahu said Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.
Mon. Day 87 (May 25, 2026) (Day 34 of Trump’s latest ceasefire extension)
- Trump told Arab leaders he will only broker a peace deal with Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz if they normalize relations with Israel. The Arab leaders were stunned and refused to respond.
- Trump said that countries involved in negotiations over Iran should be required to join the Abraham Accords, signaling that the White House is seeking to turn a possible Iran agreement into a wider regional realignment that includes normalization with Israel. (My comment: Normalization with Israel COULD lead to a temporary covenant of peace that will later be strengthened by the Antichrist. This is prophetically a big deal if it happens, but we need to wait to see what happens.)
- Israeli Prime Min. Netanyahu told his military to “crush” Hezbollah, including in parts of Lebanon held by the Iran-backed terror group.
- S. forces destroyed Iranian vessels laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz and struck missile-launch sites in a series of defensive strikes.
Tues. Day 88 (May 26, 2026) (Day 35 of Trump’s latest ceasefire extension)
- Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei urged Muslims worldwide to chant for the destruction of the U.S. and Israel (the Great Satan and the Little Satan) during the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage.
- Iran’s Supreme Leader said Israel will not live to see another 15 years.
- Iranian Supreme Leader said Gulf powers will no longer be a shield for American military bases and the US will no longer have a safe haven in the region.
- Israel struck more than 100 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.
- Israel assassinated Mohammed Odeh, the new head of Hamas’ military wing and a key figure in the Oct. 7, 2023 attack. Israel’s Defense Min. said he was sent to meet his partners in the depths of hell.
Wed. Day 89 (May 27, 2026) (Day 36 of Trump’s latest ceasefire extension)
- Trump said that he might not sign a peace agreement with Iran if America’s Arab partners in the region do not agree to recognize Israel.
- US Air Strikes are being carried out on an Iranian missile base at Bandar Abbas. There have been three powerful explosions and visible smoke.
- Iran launched a Ballistic Missile and Drone attack on a U.S. airbase in Kuwait.
Finally, are you Rapture Ready?
If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God, who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
