A 6.2 earthquake struck near the major coastal city of Ovalle on Feb 12, believed to have been the biggest quake to strike the region since 2019. Other cities have reported shaking. There have been no initial reports of material damage or casualties, and no tsunami warning has been issued since the earthquake struck this morning.
