The announcement comes from the US military command in the region, Southcom, and the order for the military presence was ordered by US President Donald Trump in efforts against drug smuggling from Venezuela. The fleet surrounding the aircraft carrier, which is the United States’ most advanced, includes two missile-equipped destroyers supporting warships and aircraft.
