Truth Spoken Here :: By Dennis Huebshman

Recently, I read an article about a well-known gay billionaire who was about to hold a four-part lecture on the antichrist. While this person is not a Christian pastor, the series sold out of tickets almost immediately. One of the main points the article made was that this message should be prime material in organized religion churches, yet they are preaching on anything but the coming end of this age.

As Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.” (ESV – all emphasis is mine.)

After becoming an ordained minister about 20 years ago, I did “pulpit preaching” for several years. I was also listed as a supply pastor for the East Texas area, which is a pastor who will fill in when a regular pastor takes a Sunday off.

Any messages I would give were always scripture-based, and reading straight from God’s word, I would often refer to the coming end of this age. My belief is, if I don’t get this message out, I am not following our Savior’s Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

My intent was to never “browbeat” the congregation, but I wanted to be sure they were told they had to receive and accept Jesus as their Savior if they wanted to spend eternity with Him. John 14:6 is my life verse, which summarizes what the Bible is all about. “Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 are also avoided to keep people from getting “anxiety attacks” about all that’s happening in today’s world. The thing is, seeing all the end-time prophecies coming to pass should actually be exciting for anyone who is ready to leave this sin-filled world and be with Jesus forever.

In Luke 21:28, Jesus said, “Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads because your redemption is drawing near.”

When Israel became a nation again on May 14, 1948, after nearly 2,000 years, Jesus was indicating that the end of this era’s clock would begin ticking. We don’t know the day or hour that the Rapture will take place (Matthew 24:36), but ours is the generation that will see it happen.

For anyone to take their last breath prior to the Rapture, but they had received and accepted Jesus as their Savior while alive, they will be raised before those who are still alive at the Rapture, as stated in 1 Thessalonians 4:15-16.

For anyone who believes they will wait until the Rapture starts to call out to be saved, they need to read and understand 1 Corinthians 15:52: “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last Trumpet. For the Trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.”

Experts far more knowledgeable than I have said, “Twinkling of an Eye” is the time it takes light to enter the eye and hit the optic nerve. They have calculated this at less than 1/100th of a second.

If this is how fast the Rapture will take place – and yes, God is fully capable of doing this – no one will have time to confess their sins, ask forgiveness, and be included in the Rapture. Those who are already true believers will be gone, while all others who waited are left behind.

Please understand that it will still be possible to be saved from the lake of fire, but the cost will most likely be martyrdom. All who refuse the mark of the beast will be subject to being executed on the spot. All who do take the mark will be pledging allegiance to the antichrist and ultimately Satan. Revelation 14:9-11 states this is an unforgivable sin, and all who receive the mark will be cast into the lake of fire forever.

While I have no idea what the billionaire’s message will be, I am aware of God’s word. His message through Paul in Romans 10:9-13 gives the steps to be ready to go Home when called.

First, admit we’re sinners who cannot save ourselves. Second, believe Jesus is a true part of the Trinity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – and only through Him can we be saved. Finally, we need to call out to our Savior to come into our hearts and add us to His precious flock of saved souls.

That’s it. Ephesians 2:8-9 lets us know that our Salvation is a free gift from the Father because of His Son’s sacrifice, and we cannot earn or buy even one second in Heaven on our own.

Considering that we have been told we won’t know the day or hour or even second that the Rapture will take place, it would be best to have already called out beforehand. Now would not be too soon. Tomorrow isn’t promised. Imagine how wonderful it will be for you if the Trumpet of God sounds, and the shout comes from an archangel, and the next second you’re in the presence of our Savior.

One more advantage: our bodies will be converted to immortal and imperishable, and unable to ever have sickness or death again.

So, as in all messages I am privileged to post, I invite you to ask Jesus to be your Savior Today! Right now! It will be the most important decision you will ever make, and the Father will not force anyone to do so. However, He will accept all who truly call out to be saved through the gift our Jesus gave at Calvary.

Hope to see you at Home soon.

Shalom! Peace be with you!
