Times Change – Message Is the Same :: By Dennis Huebshman

All 66 books of the Bible may have been written by different people throughout the ages, but all content is from God, and all prophecy is inspired by the Holy Spirit. (ESV – all emphasis is mine)

Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 3:16, “All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”

Peter states in 2 Peter 1:20-21, “Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

Peter continues in 2 Peter 2:1-3 with the following: “But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed, they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.”

Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”

These are warnings that go back to the first century, right after our Savior was “Raptured” back to Heaven after His death, burial and resurrection (Acts 1:9).

In 2 John 2:18-19 and 1 John 4:1-6, we’re told about false prophets and antichrists that were already in this world. We know they are influenced by the fallen archangel – Lucifer – also known as Satan. They have been active all along, but not nearly as much as what is coming out in today’s world.

John tells us a truth in 1 John 5:10-12 that has applied from the beginning, and especially today: “Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning His Son. And this is that testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

From the beginning of time of this earth to now, there have been evil actions of one sort or another. As we draw nearer to the end of this age, the signs given by our Savior, Paul, Peter, John and others will increase leading up to a seven-year tribulation period as has never been here before.

For that tribulation to officially start, all true believers in our Lord and Savior must be removed to be kept from the wrath as promised by the Father in 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10, and Revelation 3:10.

In 2 Thessalonians 2, the prelude to the appearance of the “lawless man” can only take place after the Holy Spirit is removed, and when that happens, all that He indwells must be removed so they will not go through the tribulation/wrath as promised above.

We are seeing more and more nations turn against Israel. Antisemitism is gaining strength as each day passes, and violence against Jews worldwide is on the increase. Even in numerous places in America, this is becoming more evident. The thing is, we were the first nation that recognized Israel as an independent country in 1948, and have been a true ally up until just recently. Also, God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:3 still stands. Those who honor Israel will be honored; those who condemn Israel will be condemned.

The two paths that our Savior spoke of in Matthew 7:13-14 are active, and to the degree He spoke of 2,000 years ago. The wide path leading to destruction is obviously well populated with those who are accepting this world over our Jesus, and fewer are on the straight and narrow path leading to eternal life.

We are hearing about some revivals taking place with souls calling out to be saved, and this is encouraging. However, we’re also hearing about “church services” that are having programs that are anything but Biblical. Some are more of an entertainment session rather than true Bible study. There are even reports of “drag queens” conducting a service, and with the approval of the attending membership. It’s apparent that the end of this age attitude toward anything truly Christian is right where our Savior said it would be.

Hebrews 13:8; “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” Galatians 6:7-8; “Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but the one who sows to the Spirit, will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”

The true pathway to becoming a part of our Savior’s flock has not changed. Romans 10:9-13 tells us we must a.) Admit that we’re all sinners and cannot save ourselves. b.) We must Believe that Jesus came to this earth in human form to provide the only pure, sinless blood sacrifice that the Father could ever accept. c.) Finally, we must Call out to Jesus to forgive us our sins, and to come into our hearts and be our eternal Savior. This is the ABCs of Salvation.

Please note, for anyone who cannot speak for whatever reason, God can read our thoughts as if we’re speaking out loud. Also, there’s no time frame, as He’s available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Always!

And finally, as Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us, we must believe through Faith that our Salvation is a gift by the Grace of God because of His Son Jesus, and not by any works that we think might save us. We are saved completely by the pure, sinless blood sacrifice that was given freely by our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.

One more point: we do not know the exact day or hour that the Rapture will occur (Matthew 24:36), but when it happens, it will be over “in the twinkling of an eye” as given in 1 Corinthians 15:52. The old Boy Scout saying, “Be Prepared!” definitely applies here. It is not too early to call out to our Savior to add you to His precious flock and to prepare a place for you in Heaven (John 14:3).

To wait could possibly be a mistake that could have very severe consequences. Also, the Father will force no one to decide one way or the other.

Your eternity – Your choice. Heaven or the lake of fire – there are no other options, no matter what any false prophet may tell you. Jesus is the only way to Heaven (John 14:6 and Acts 4:12).

Hope to see you in our Eternal Home soon. Come Lord Jesus – Maranatha!
