With World War 3 looming on the immediate horizon, the time for playing church is over, and we must begin being real. It’s time to shed our colorful and stylish Sunday-go-to-meetin’ clothing and repent in ashes and sackcloth.
If there was ever a time to get your act together, it is now! Playing church is a grievous sin. Many of us have forgotten the basic tenets of our Christian faith. Most of it is due to disrespecting God and not giving credence to His word – the Holy Bible. We ignore His commandments and flout His directives. Simple things like loving your neighbor as yourself.
If, for example, the neighbor’s house were on fire and you got up to get a glass of water on that night, but after seeing the fire through your bedroom window, you proceeded to get your water, drink it, and go back to bed. God forbid! Well, your neighbor’s house is on fire, and all who are in it are sure to die a grizzly death. You might have prevented that from happening had you shared the “Living Water” with them.
Some pastors will tell you that a smile will tell others that you are a sincere Christian, or that your good deeds are enough to get you into heaven – not so. Even President Trump voiced that exact same thing, saying that he expected to go to heaven for brokering peace deals among warring nations, and since I am not a worshiper of man, I am writing an open letter to President Trump, telling Him that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and that no man comes to the Father but by Him.
You see, Mr. Trump was born into a Presbyterian home and went to church with his mother on a regular basis. Today, President Trump says that the pastor’s sermons bored him and that he would have rather listened to Norman Vincent Peale expound on his book The Power of Positive Thinking. To him I would say, “Get these manmade ideas and philosophies out of your life and plant your feet firmly on the foundation Jesus Christ has already set.” He is typical of most so-called Christian people, in that they just don’t know or care to read scripture and believe anything a fallible man of the cloth tells them.
Many of these men and women live in a fantasy world where they reign supreme – even though they usually live cloistered lives devoid of real-life situations and preach to captive audiences. Such men are sissies when it comes to real-life encounters with the lost and hurting – unless the poor souls come running to the church in desperation.
In many such situations, the pastor will size the person up and think of ways to exploit them. Attractive women and wealthy widows are especially “ministered” to. But let the astute and sincere Bible thumper make an appearance, and see what happens among the leadership. Many, if not most, are power players and hang on desperately to their positions of power – come hell or high water.
I pity such people who have nothing to offer a hurting society but only look out for their own interests. They, like the rest of us human beings, can justify their every inconsistency, but always feel they are in the right (we are all wired that way). Nevertheless, what the Bible says about a thing always proves to be true, no matter who questions it.
Knowing that time is running out, we should do what we can to reach out to the masses of people with the good news of the Gospel, like Jesus commanded. In doing so myself, I’ve encountered some who have never heard the Gospel at all and struggle with fear of what is happening to our society and the world. This, plus the inevitability of war, while some have only heard about the rapture in passing and don’t realize that it is at the very door and could happen at any time. Many of these people grasp my business cards without hesitation, others with a big smile, and all agree that we are living in the Last Days. I submit to you that anyone who is afraid to proclaim the name of Christ openly can’t possibly be serious about their faith.
Even as I was going about spreading the word at Walmart, I couldn’t help but see the one remaining tabloid periodical at the checkout. Amazingly, the headlines on the National Enquirer today (8/25/2025) proclaimed on its cover page that we are already into the Third World War. This is something I’ve been expecting to happen for the past few weeks, like many other fellow Americans, especially after watching the failed peace treaties between Russia and Ukraine on News Max. As a matter of fact, I have at times declared that foreboding event was/is upon us in giving out my cards. I use different approaches with everyone, but this one everyone can relate to because of the news.
At times when people say they aren’t believers, I tell them that my card tells how they can be saved, as they snatch it out of my hand while thanking me profusely.
Book report:
They’re Coming for You by Jason Chaffetz, former chairman of the United States House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, as a U.S. Congressman, is a must-read for all Americans. This book is an eye-opener on how new technologies spy on us every day of the year, the information then being sold to the highest bidder or used by governmental agencies (first used by the Obama administration to collect information on the Republican Party).
Today, information is hacked by almost all institutions to our detriment. Facial ID and eye lie detector scanners are the latest technological advances to keep us in line. This is not a bad thing, but it could lead to the one-world government and mark of the beast. Thank God, we true Christians are not going to be here when the end of days prophecies are fulfilled – due to the rapture.
