UN Reports Brutal Civilian Executions by RSF in Sudan’s Darfur Region. At least 89 civilians were killed by the rebel group RSF in the Darfur region of Sudan during a ten-day period. RSF is fighting against Sudanese government forces in the civil war that broke out in 2023. The conflict has claimed over 40,000 lives and forced over 14 million to flee their homes. Aid organizations have recently warned of an impending famine, and several countries are calling for humanitarian pauses in the fighting to allow emergency aid to be delivered.

Mass exodus from Gaza City as fears of Israeli ground offensive mount. Thousands have begun leaving Gaza City in recent days, fearing an Israeli ground offensive after Israel’s security cabinet approved plans to seize the city with full support from U.S. President Trump. Israeli officials: all hostages must be released in any ceasefire deal. After the announcement that Hamas accepted the most recent proposal for hostage release and ceasefire deal, an Israeli official emphasized that the government will agree only to release of all hostages at once.

Do not be fooled by Hamas’s ‘positive response.’ The Iran-backed Palestinian terror group Hamas said earlier this week that it has delivered a “positive response” to mediators on the latest US proposal for a Gaza ceasefire and hostage deal with Israel. The group’s leaders, however, continue to talk about the need to continue the “armed struggle,” which means launching more terror attacks against Israel and murdering as many Jews as possible. Hamas leaders, in addition, continue to stress that they refuse to lay down their weapons.

Israel’s Defense Minister: Gates of hell will open in Gaza. Katz emphasized that if Hamas does not agree to Israel’s conditions for ending the war, “the gates of hell will soon open above the heads of Hamas’ murderers and rapists in Gaza — until they agree to Israel’s terms for ending the war, foremost among them the release of all hostages and disarmament.”
