(There is a special message at the end of this article for those who might happen to read this and do not have Jesus in their life and are looking for peace and a way to better understand the present-day insanity and confusion.)
At this point in time, I think it’s fair to say that there are a lot of people wondering why “things” seem to be so out of control. It doesn’t make sense – or maybe it does.
I could list a few of the more discouraging ones, but I really don’t think it’s necessary.
Someone would have to intentionally ignore the political buffoonery, treachery, treason, rampant crime, and vile and offensive but now commonplace use of the “F” word virtually everywhere, ad nauseam.
I won’t elaborate on harming of children in its nefarious forms except to say this: Abuse takes many forms, including anything that brings harm to them, be it spiritual or physical.
And so, if you are an abuser of children…
“I, the LORD, search the heart; I examine the mind to reward a man according to his way, by what his deeds deserve” (Jeremiah 17:10).
Strangest of all, the blatant lying in the face of factual, contradictory truth causes the most amazement to me. “Is this for real?” It is indeed, and it can be experienced every day by obtaining news from “mainstream” sources.
“They sharpen their tongues like snakes; the venom of vipers is on their lips” (Psalm 140:3).
I don’t think it requires someone to exaggerate any of these things; they are self-evident. The list is almost endless, and worse, there is no rest from it in these latter days.
Despite the world’s evil intent by “wordsmithing” and twisting of empirical truth, secular (Godless) humanism has confirmed the veracity of the Word of God written in the Book of Isaiah some 2,700+/- years ago:
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20). Emphasis added.
There is no excusing of these evils, whether intentional or out of ignorance. Either way, it is viewed by the Lord in the same way. Isaiah used the term “Woe” for a reason.
“He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters” (Matthew 12:30).
Deception, Division, Destruction: These are the tactics of the world system here in 2025. At one time, there was an effort to conceal these activities behind a mask of propriety, but no longer is that even considered. It is blatant, and they don’t care.
“Are they ashamed of the abomination they have committed? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; when I punish them, they will collapse” (Jeremiah 6:15).
Those who belong to the Lord, having received salvation in Jesus Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (and who devote time to reading His Word), receive wisdom and discernment as He promised (James 1:5).
Observing current events, human conduct, and “reasoning” done by the world apart from the knowledge of God, many of us find ourselves pondering: What do unsaved people expect to be the end result of this Godless, frenetic activity? Do they think about it at all?
God has made it clear by how He describes those who live in denial of Him:
“The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’” (Psalms 14:1/53:1).
King David wrote these words approximately 3,000 years ago, and they have imparted God’s warning to man for much of that time, yet his conduct and evil activities have only worsened over the centuries. This also was prophesied (Isaiah 2:17-22).
There are many reasons why man is so corrupt and sinful, but what seems to be the dominant factor that drives this aberrant, destructive, and suicidal behavior?
God’s Word provides one of, and possibly the most predominant reason:
“For the love of money is the root of all evil” (1 Timothy 6:10a).
That one short verse seems an understatement but contains so much Truth.
I’m sure you have heard it said when reasons are sought to explain criminal behavior – “Follow the money.” It always seems to end up being the most accurate assessment.
Some have amassed fortunes so vast that they could not possibly spend it in two lifetimes. Once again, the Word of God addresses the folly of this thinking:
“Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle” (Proverbs 23:5).
It is now a worldwide phenomenon when governments that are actually trying to serve their citizens are under constant attack. No more is that more evident than in America.
America is sometimes referred to as the “American Experiment,” and that is because it is/was so unique and unequalled in its initial conception, framework, and implementation. A nation of constitutional laws embodying true freedom and liberty of, by, and for the people, not the government. Founded on the principles of the Word of God, America thrived and has thus far survived. But no promise of Divine preservation was ever made to any nation other than Israel (Jeremiah 31:35-37).
American leadership should understand this, but it seems unlikely. The Word of God makes these things clear, and it is not subject to human “interpretation.”
Because America has been, thus far, such a blessing to Israel, I believe it is the primary reason God has preserved and blessed us as He promised in Genesis 12:3.
Sadly, despite current appearances, America will turn against Israel at some point in what I believe will be the near future. The Abraham Accords, pushed by Trump, are no blessing to Israel. If implemented, it will likely result in fulfillment of the prophecy of Joel 3:1-3.
I believe that the support of Israel’s (and all Jews’) right to exist by America, as a nation, is why Satan, the ruler of this world, has aimed his hatred at this nation, and his efforts are bearing fruit with the cooperation from within of evil men and women. The fruit of this will be death and destruction, and we are seeing it advancing in real time.
It is succeeding because America no longer trusts or believes God.

Now to the crux of this article.
Why Does God Allow This? (Who is really to blame?).
“Yet man is born to trouble, As the sparks fly upward” (Job 5:7).
God has provided man with all the just laws and the wisdom of His Word so that man has all that is necessary to police himself if only he would follow them.
When we try to make sense of this worldly chaos and the ever-growing sense of dread, we find, as God intended, that the answers are to be found only in His written Word, and the solution is only to be found in His Living Word: Jesus Christ.
Mankind has been given free will to do right, as well as the Word of God that defines what “right” is and forms the core of most “lawful” laws, but he will continue to defy and rebel against the source of them: the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Man’s empty treaties, contracts, promises, and purposefully misleading words stand as evidence of the veracity of the Word of God.
For stark proof of this, examine the hypocritical garbage spewed by the UN.
“This is what the LORD says: ‘Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind, who makes mere flesh his strength and turns his heart from the LORD’” (Jeremiah 17:5). Emphasis added.
His fulfilled prophecy is the empirical proof of His Power and that His Will will be done:
“There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the LORD’s counsel—that will stand” (Proverbs 19:11). Emphasis added.
…and the promise to the lost of this world that hope has Someone to turn to:
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20). Emphasis added.
The special message I promised you:
For anyone who may read this article and has not trusted in Jesus Christ and therefore has no hope or peace in your life.
You can have hope. You can have the peace that Jesus has promised to all who have made Him their Lord and Savior. The peace that passes understanding.
It requires that you come before God on His terms and that you do so in your living years.
And, what are His terms according to His Word?
Genuine repentance (turning to God instead of continuing to reject or ignore Him).
- Confession of sins (that you are a sinner and acknowledge that to God).
- That you understand that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
- To acknowledge to God that you are unable to pay that debt.
- Belief that Jesus Christ paid your death sentence for you on the cross and rose from the grave three days later, conquering death, just as He promised.
- To believe that Jesus is the Way, the only Way, that God has established by which humans may be saved from the consequences of their sin and rebellion.
God has made it absolutely clear that there is no one who comes before Him, under His terms, that will be refused.
- No one: no race, no color, no country of origin, regardless of any previous belief system: no one.
- No matter what your past sins have been, God can and WILL forgive you because He says He will.
- Salvation is available to everyone without any exceptions.
If you put all your trust for salvation in Jesus, and Him only, you can follow that prayer up by simply saying, “Thank you, Father God, for hearing my prayer and saving me,” because we can trust Him to keep His Word. He always has. He always will.
“Truly, Truly, I say to you that he who hears My words and believes the One who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned. He has crossed from death to life” (John 5:24).
There are no answers and there is no hope in the world by governments, organizations, politics or politicians. There are only lies and deception. But you can have the Truth and the peace you seek.
The answers are in the Word of God—The Bible. If you ask God, with all your heart, He will hear you.
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).
