“…ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

As we brethren see the convergence of the signs of the end times, we are reminded to spread the Gospel message while we still can and to encourage one another as we await our Savior, Christ Jesus.

Texas: At least 24 dead, over 20 children missing from summer camp in ‘catastrophic’ flood. As many as 25 campers remain missing from Camp Mystic, a Christian girls’ camp at the river’s edge. Photos, videos reveal disastrous damage across Kerr County, Texas after deadly flash flood. The Guadalupe River surge measured 20 feet in just an hour at Kerrville and nearly 27 feet in Comfort in just 45 minutes. The surge took the river to historic levels not seen in nearly a century before many had time to react. Entire homes were swept away near the river. All that was left behind were concrete pads where the homes’ foundation stood. 

France shuts 1,350 schools; Italy limits work as severe heatwave grips southern Europe. Temperatures above 40 °C (104 °F) led to closure of over 1,350 schools in France, and work restrictions occurred across 13 Italian regions between June 30–July 2, as a persistent heat dome caused red-level alerts and severe public health risks across southern Europe.

Parts of New Orleans sinking at alarming rate; so are its $15 billion flood defenses. Some areas are losing nearly two inches of elevation per year, threatening effectiveness of the city’s storm defenses. Sections of the $15 billion post-Katrina flood protection system may need regular upgrades to outpace long-term land subsidence.

The quake on Thursday, strong enough to make standing difficult, was one of over 1,000 tremors in the islands of Kagoshima Prefecture in the past two weeks that have fueled rumors stemming from a comic book prediction that a major disaster would befall the country this month.

The CDC found newborn babies who received the Hepatitis B vaccine had 1,135% higher autism rates than those who did not or received it later in life. However, the CDC practiced “trickery” in its studies on autism so as not to implicate vaccines. “They kept the study secret, then they manipulated it through five different iterations to try to bury the link, and we know how they did it.”

FDA expands warning about rare heart risk with COVID vaccines. The announcement came as new vaccine advisers appointed by Health Secretary Kennedy met to debate continuing use of COVID vaccines for key groups, including pregnant women. It’s the first meeting of the CDC advisory panel since Kennedy abruptly dismissed all 17 members of the group, naming a new panel that includes several members with a history of anti-vaccine statements.

Video of a mock “de-baptism” ritual at a Michigan LGBT “pride” festival emerged on Instagram. It shows a man reading “God Hates FAQs” while pointing an unplugged hairdryer labeled “Reason” at a woman’s head. So-called “de-baptism” (and “un-baptism”) ceremonies have also become common amongst satanist groups.

Liberal Justices Predict “Chaos” & Demise of Public Education Without Mandatory LGBTQ Material. That seems to be the message this week from the three liberal justices at the Supreme Court when faced with the prospect of parents being able to remove their young children from mandatory classes on gay, lesbian, and transgender material.

Proposed legislation in Spain seeks to jail parents up to 2 years who oppose their children’s gender reassignment. In Scotland, similar proposals that included a 7-year prison sentence have been shelved. Instead, the Scottish government agreed to defer to UK’s government. However, the Scottish National Party threatened that if it finds UK’s bill insufficient, it will introduce its own bill.

A new abortion business in Chicago, Hope Clinic, will be killing babies in abortions up to approximately 34 weeks of pregnancy. The state (Illinois) allows abortions up to birth. It’s the only standalone facility in the Midwest to end lives of babies in third-trimester abortions.

Senate Passes Bill to Defund Planned Parenthood…But… Planned Parenthood defunding is retained in the final version of the bill, but the 10-year funding ban has been scaled back to just one year. Vice President Vance broke a 50-50 tie to get the measure approved after three Republican senators voted no. All Democrats voted no. The vote will now send it back to the House for a confirmation vote of the changes the Senate made.

US Patriotism Among Democrats Crashes As Marxist Demands Grow Louder. Polling shows a sharp decline in U.S. national pride, driven mainly by crazed Democrats, some of whom have increasingly spewed anti-American rhetoric, with talking points that sound straight from adversarial regimes like the Communist Party of China.

Iniquity Shall Abound

Sniper started wildfire to lure firefighters into deadly ambush. Two firefighters were killed and a third was wounded when a sniper opened fire on first responders at the site of a wildfire in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Authorities described it as an “ambush” and believe the lone gunman intentionally set the fire to lure first responders. He apparently committed suicide afterward.

The Religious Right was correct about evils of the entertainment industry. Older readers may recall that pastors and Christian commentators were frequently written off as hysterical for warning of hints of the demonic in much of modern music. Now, the demonic is a regular feature of major music award performances.

Wars and Rumors of Wars

Iranian leadership issues death warrants for Trump, Netanyahu, deeming them enemies of Islam. Both decrees also make it substantially easier for Iran’s internal security forces to abduct anti-regime dissidents galvanized by the US and Israel’s recent strikes on the Islamic Republic.

Russia launched one of the largest aerial assaults of the war on Ukraine overnight July 5, unleashing over 500 drones. The timing, just hours after a phone call between President Trump and Russian President Putin yielded no success toward ending the war.

“When They Shall Say Peace and Safety, Then Sudden Destruction…”

A Deal with Syria? It’s a Dangerous Delusion. Assad’s regime has been replaced by something potentially just as dangerous: a Sunni jihadist regime backed by Turkey, intent on world takeover in the name of Allah; the same worldview that produced ISIS — a regime led by Bashar al-Sharaa, with a documented history of terrorism and persecution. Under his rule today, Christians, Kurds, and Druze in Syria are still persecuted, brutalized, and killed. And immediately after toppling Assad, al-Sharaa declared their next destination for conquest is Jerusalem. Peace with this new Syrian regime? That’s not peace. That’s deception – a tactical ceasefire cloaked in diplomacy. In Islamic jihadist strategy, it’s called a ‘hudna’ — a pause in fighting not to end conflict but to regroup and reload until their next attack.
