The whole armour of God for us here in the 21st century is that dusty, old-fashioned ‘word of a king’ we call the King James Bible, do you have it?
Today was the last Sunday Service of 2024, and at Bethany Baptist Church this morning there was a little bit of end times excitement in the air during Sunday School, Sunday Service and even our singing seemed a little more charged up than usual. Though we had some of our regular people out, many were there and a number of new people as well. Praise the Lord! Our little ‘church in the woods’ is growing, and there is such a good Spirit there as it grows, it’s truly a blessing.
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11 (KJB)
My message today was on the whole armour of God and its importance as these end times swirl around us. At the risk of oversimplifying, let me just say that the whole armour of God is God’s preserved word as found in the Bible He wrote. The ‘word of the king’ and the power that comes with that word, that’s your armour. God didn’t create a PDF, didn’t make a web site, and didn’t use social media, He wrote a Book. Do you have it? This message was preached live this morning at Bethany Baptist Church in Saint Augustine, Florida, and we invite you to come and be a part of the new work God is doing there.
